I am looking for information concerning the children of Edward Joseph NOON and Mary Ellen GEOHEGAN NOON. I know there were approx 6 children, and that three of them lived past childhood, but there are three who died young. I would like to know their names and any information about them (ie.age at death, cause of death, etc..)They would have been born around 1896-1906. I even have their pictures, but find it extremely sad that their names would be lost to time. They would have been buried, more than likely, in the Catholic Cemetary and maybe baptised at St.Peter's. Thanks for your help,

I am attempting to find graves for two minor children of John and Martha PFEIFFER of Frostburg Maryland. John and Martha and four of the six minor children that passed before reaching adulthood are buried in a family plot within Frostburg Memorial. The two children' graves would be for: Christina Helena PFEIFFER, being born in May 1859 and living one day. FRIEDERICH Pfeiffer born in May 1865 and passing in January 1867.
John was a German immigrant to Baltimore in 1852, settling in Frostburg 1 year later. These two children passed prior to what appears to be the purchase of a family plot in the cemetery where the other family members are interred. They attended the German Evagelical Lutheran Church, which is still standing and now the Zion Church of God, on Main Street in Frostburg. On the rootsweb page, the German Lutheran Cemetery entry drew my attention to you. Also, do you know of any good historical books or other resources about Eckhart Mines? Thanks beforehand, for any assistance that you can render. Eric

The counties here have changed over the years so we are not sure what it was called since we don't know for sure what year they came here from Cumberland. It was more than likely either Augusta Cty, VA(1770) or Monongalia Cty, VA(1776) later Mon Cty was split into Harrison Cty (1784) and then later Harrison was split into Taylor Cty. Current day Taylor Cty is where their home was. Supposedly some of their children were born in MD and the rest here.

I'm trying to find any information I can. My relatives listed are all from the Cumberland, MD, area. My Grandfather was Edward ELLSWORTH, his parents Benjamin Neal ELLSWORTH and Florence (or Florentia) MEDERS married Aug. 3, 1899. Benjamin, I believe, was born in Ohio, son of Samuel ELLSWORTH and Elizabeth FUNK. Florence was the daughter of Michael MEDERS and Caroline "Nonnie" HODEL. I believe Caroline was the child of John HODEL (who immigrated from Switzerland in 1817) and Anna Marie BUS(S)INGER (who may have immigrated with him) to Philadelpia, then to Germantown, PA., after having their children, they moved to Cumberland, MD.
John HODEL, 17, came from Switzerland ito Philadelphia the same year, 1817 as a Nicholas HODEL, 23 ( I believe to be on the the same ship). They both settled in Cumberland, MD. around the same time and both families have members buried in the same cemetary. Of course, I'm wondering if they were brothers or something. My Grandmother, Eva "Grace" JEWELL, was the daughter of Toliver Wade JEWELL and Mary Ellen HIGGS (I believe to be from West Virgina, close to Cumberland, MD.. Mary Ellen had a brother, Hubert HIGGS who married a Ruth, and a sister, Lula. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks,
