November 2006 - I am interested in finding any pictures or descriptions of Carter Creek on Kent Island that might describe water depth, working docks, oyster off loading, etc. I've been told that a newspaper ran an article of the Tower Gardens subdivision project back when it was first being developed. Supposedly, there is a picture accompanying the article of the project developer on his large boat docked in Carter Creek. Do you have any information regarding this? I went a bit farther back in history and found that one Dr. Carter and one J. Cockey had houses on or near Carter Creek. The time period was around 1866. I tried to track down any family members on the internet but was not successful. I was hoping to contact them to see if they had any old pictures or drawings of Carter Creek that might indicate water depth and use by showing boats docked or moored in the creek. I certainly would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
