August Isaak Sr. was born March 14, 1833, in Tarutino, Bessarabia, South Russia and died December 28, 1927, at Parkston, South Dakota. He married Christina Ziegler on October 13, 1855, at Alt Elft, Bessarabia, South Russia. Christina was born March 12, 1834 in Beresina, Bessarabia, Russia, and she died September 17, 1926, Parkston, S.D.

FAMILY DATA ~August Sr. & Christina lived in Dennewitz, Bessarabia until 1868 when the family moved to Michaelfeld, Georgia, east of the Black Sea. August Sr. helped as an assistant surveyor to lay out new villages. ~They celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 26, 1925, Parkston, South Dakota. At the time of August Sr's death, he was survived by 159 direct descendents, all of them members of the Lutheran Church faith. ~August Isaak Sr. was one a son of Johann Isaak (1790-1865) and Louisa Mueller Isaak (1804-18??).

William Isaak--born 6 Feb 1876, died 17 Jul 1949 at Parkston, S.D.

August Isaak Jr.--born 2 Nov 1870 in South Russia. He married Katharina Breitling on 30 Apr 1892, in Parkston, Hutchinson Co., South Dakota. Katharina was born in 1871, in South Russia.
