Funeral services for William Clarence Goddard, 50, were held Saturday, February 16, 1991, at 10:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wheatland, Wyoming, with Pastor Randall L. Golter officiating. Interment was in the Wheatland Cemetery.

Mr. Goddard died Wednesday, February 13, 1991, at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland following a long illness.

He was born October 22, 1940, in Holyoke, Colorado, the son of Roy Darling and Wilma (Vernon) Goddard. He was reared and began his education in Colorado. In 1957 he moved to Wheatland, graduating from Wheatland High School in 1958.

He was married to Bonna Sailer on October 16, 1960, in Wheatland. He worked on various ranches in Platte, Converse, and Albany counties. In 1980 they moved to Glendo, and then in 1981 they moved to Wheatland. He worked fro the Missouri Basin Power Plant and maintained a small herd of cattle until ill health forced his retirement in November 1985.

He enjoyed team roping, stream fishing, and loved horses. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bonna, of Wheatland; three daughters, Susan Cochran of Wheatland, Cindy Noyce of Hawk Springs, Wyoming, and Becky Goddard of Wheatland; two sisters, Lavonne Miller and June McGuire, both of Wheatland; one brother, Sam Goddard of Wheatland; five grandchildren; and his mother, Wilma Holman of Wheatland.

He was preceded in death by his father and a half brother, Claude Goddard.

Serving as pallbearers were Doug Curtis, Roy Morris, Willie Thomas, Warren Ryff, Cleve Artery, and John Artery.

A memorial to the Trinity Lutheran Church would equally appreciated by the family.

The Platte Funeral Chapel of Wheatland was in charge of the arrangements.
