IN MEMORIAM

Harold A. Heimark was born on June 16, 1909, in Warwick, North Dakota. In 1932 he received a degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota Agricultural College. Between 1937 and 1940 he helped build the Fort Peck Dam in Montana. He left Montana and moved to Bremerton, Washington, to work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

He married the former Erna Ziemann on June 30, 1945.

He retired from the shipyard in 1969. From 1974 to 1979, he taught electronics and technical drafting at Olympic College.

Mr. Heimark was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, where he served many years as an usher. He belonged to the Washington State Professional Engineers, and the Professional Engineers Society of Bremerton.

He enjoyed fishing, ham radio and computers.

On Friday, December 21st, it pleased Almighty God in His wisdom and grace to call him out of this life at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 5 days. His mortal remains will be laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in the hope of the resurrection to eternal life. Our Savior has promised, “I am the Resurrection and the Life, whoever believes in me though he die, yet shall he live and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.”

We express our sincere sympathy to those who survive him: his wife, Erna, of Bremerton, his sister, Esther Heimark of Spokane and his brother, Henry Heimark, of San Carlos, California.
