HERBERT ISAAK

HAZEN---Services for Herbert Isaak, 77, Hazen, will be held at 1:30 p.m. MST Monday at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hazen, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Isaak died Dec. 4, 1986, at a Bismarck hospital.

Mr. Isaak was born Dec. 23, 1908, near Mannhaven and grew up north of Hazen. As a young man he lived at Krem and farmed with his brothers in the Hazen area. After marrying Lea Wegerle, June 30, 1935, at Krem, he lived and farmed northeast of Krem. They retired from farming in 1947 and moved into Hazen.

He worked for Hazen Motor Co. and Mobil Service and later as a sales representative for Watkins. For 23 years he was the Hazen city tax assessor and a member of the Mercer County Election Board for 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Hazen; two daughters, Eileen Shilts, New Richmond, Wis., and Arlyes Tidwell, Canon City, Colo.; a son, Kenny, Spokane, Wash.; 10 children; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anne Huber, Hazen, Elizabeth Guenthner, Laurel, Mont., and Hilda Bohrer, Valley City; and a brother, Art, Center, North Dakota.
