ARMIN KNECHT ARMIN KNECHT, HAZEN, KILLED IN PENNSYLVANIA AUTO ACCIDENT Knecht was employed by the S. A. Healy Construction company on a construction job near Blue Ridge Summit and was enroute to work when the accident occurred about 11 p.m. He was riding in a car driven by Wm. Rahn, Jr., son of Wm. Rahn, Stanton, who was also employed by the Healy company. According to word received here, the car went out of control on a curve and hit a pole, throwing young Knecht from the car. His death came as the result of head injuries. Rahn was unhurt, according to a telephone report from Blue Ridge Summit. Armin Knecht was born December 12, 1924, at the home of his parents 12 miles northwest of Hazen and had attended rural schools in the vicinity of his parents' farm. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Adolf of Sioux city, Ia., Helmuth of rural Hazen and Paul, a student at Wartburg College, Waverly, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. John (Ruth) Wickham and Mrs. Edgar(Lillian) Stiefel, both of Sioux city, Ia.; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Christina Knecht, and Mrs. Margareta Sailer, both of rural Hazen. Funeral services will be held this coming Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the Peace Lutheran Church here with the Rev. T. F. Doyen conducting the services. Burial will be made in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
