REGINA KNECHT
Dec. 29, 1900-July 19, 1988

HAZEN—Mrs. Regina Knecht, 87, Hazen, died July 19, 1988, in the Hazen hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. MDT Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation begins at 2 p.m. today at Aarthun-Goetz Funeral Home, Hazen, and the church one hour before services.

Regina Sailer was born Dec. 29, 1900, at Crimea, South Russia. The family came to the United States in 1906 and settled in the Krem area, where she was raised and educated. She married Edward Knecht in 1919 at Krem. They lived near Hazen on his farm. He died in 1958. She lived on the farm until 1967 when she moved to Hazen.

She was a member of Hazen Senior Citizens.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Anderson, Sioux City, Iowa, and Lillian DiMaggio, Garden Grove, Calif.; two sons, Helmut, Hazen, and Paul, Richmond, Ind.; one sister, Rosina Froeschle, Bismarck; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
