SERVICES SATURDAY FOR HAZEN RESIDENT

Funeral services for Theodore Machau, 68, Hazen, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, the Rev. Oliver Deward officiating.

Machau died Saturday at his home in Hazen.

He was born to John and Christina Frank Machau, July 12, 1905, at Hazen.  He attended Mercer County schools and entered the U.S. Army in 1938.  He served overseas in the Adriatic Pacific Theater and was discharged in August 1945.

He farmed in Dunn and McLean counties until 1954 and has made his home at Hazen Senior Citizens Housing for the past eight months.

Machau is survived by one brother, Arthur, Cortland, Minn.; and sisters, Mrs. Lukalia Galster, Hazen, and Mrs. Emma Isaak, Hazen.

Pallbearers will be Roy Fandrich, Walter and Harold Galster, Gordon Isaak, Donald Miller and Theodore Fandrich.

Burial will take place at the Hazen Cemetery with military rites presented by the Herman Schmidt Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Beulah.  (Aarthun Funeral Home, Hazen)
