DALLAS E. MILLER
Sept. 11, 1938-Aug. 4, 1998

Dallas E. Miller, Child of God, was born Sept. 11, 1938, to Fred and Ella Miller in Hazen.  He died Aug. 4, 1998, at his home in Puyallup, Wash.

Dallas grew up in Hazen as the ninth of 11 children. He worked on the family farm near Hazen.  After finishing school, he worked in construction at various locations around North and South Dakota. In 1963, after serving in the Army, he joined his parents in Kent, Wash. He held several jobs until becoming a millwright of Northwest Pacific Plywood in Tacoma in 1968. In 1976, he moved to Puyallup where he lived with his mother until shortly before her death in 1995.

Dallas was a quiet and private person, a man of few words.  He was a hard and faithful worker. For many years, he would bring his mother to worship at Peace each Sunday. He would then serve as an usher.

He is survived by Irene (Elmer) Richter, Hazen; Leland (Colleen) Miller of Montesano, Wash.; Vernon Miller (Gisela) of Kent, Wash.; June Prowse of Los Gatos, Calif.; Howard (Wanda) Miller of Livermore, Calif.; and Arlo (Gail) Miller of Boulder, Colo.; five aunts, Erna Wedrich of Bismarck, Marie Wedrich, Irene Wedrich, both of Hazen, Ruth Kaylor of Puyallup, and Erna Campbell of Seattle; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ella Miller; a sister, Kelma; a brother, Wayne; brother-in-law, Frank Prowse, and a sister-in-law, Leona Miller.
