FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. RAHN AT HAZEN

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Peace Lutheran Church of Hazen for Mrs. Ferdinand Rahn, 67, Hazen, who died in a Hazen hospital at 9:15 a.m. Thursday. She had been in ill health for the past four years.

The Rev. Doyen will officiate and burial will be made in the Peace Lutheran Church cemetery at Hazen.

Born in southern Russia July 7, 1882, Mrs. Rahn was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ziemann. She came to the United States in 1886 and has lived in North Dakota since 1887.

On Nov. 27, 1902, she married Ferdinand Rahn at Krem. They moved to Hebron in 1944. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Hebron.

Besides her husband, she leaves three sons and six daughters. Sons are Herman, Albert and Emil, all of Hazen. Daughters are Amanda, Sacramento, Calif.; Anna, Hazen; Mrs. Gerald Johnson, Vallejo, Calif.; Mrs. Lester Hainings, Haddenfield, N.J.; Mrs. Fred Horbeck, Chicago; and Ida, Kansas City, Mo.

She also leaves one foster son, Gottlieb Gensburg, Halliday; one brother, Emanuel Ziemann, Hazen; and eight grandchildren. Her parents and three children preceded her in death.

Pallbearers will be Albert, Emil, Herman, William and Alfred Rahn, and Herb Ziemann.

The body is at the Aarthun-Singer Funeral Home at Hazen.
