SERVICES THURSDAY FOR STANTON WOMAN    

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Salem Lutheran Church at Stanton for Mrs. William Rahn, 53, who died at her home, 4 ½ miles north of Stanton Saturday. She had been in ill health for several years.

The Rev. Ketterling of Center will officiate at the services. Burial will be made in the Stanton Cemetery.

Born March 16, 1898, in South Russia, Mrs. Rahn was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Knecht. She came to the United States with her parents in 1909, settling in South Dakota.

On Dec. 24, 1919, she was married to William Rahn at Krem. She had been a resident of North Dakota since 1901. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her mother, Mrs. Christine Knecht, rural Hazen; two daughters, Mrs. Rueben Zieszler, Hazen, and Mrs. Martin Gabb, Mandan; and five sons, Eldor, Lanesboro, Minn., William Jr., Detroit, Mich., Arthur, a member of the U.S. Navy at San Francisco, Calif., and Russell and Elmer, at home.

She also leaves one brother, seven sisters, and eight grandchildren. Her brother is Edwin Knecht of Hazen. Sisters are Mrs. August Ziemann, Hazen; Mrs. Rudolph Sailer, Zap; Mrs. A. Benkson, Sioux City, Ia.; Mrs. Heppler, Moville, Ia.; Mrs. Lemp, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Stanley, Poulsbo, Wash.; and Miss Martha Knecht, Kansas City, Mo.

Her father and one son preceded her in death. The body is at the Aarthun-Singer Funeral Home at Hazen.
