EMMA CATHERINE SAILER
June 6, 1919—August 2, 2007

A funeral service for Emma Catherine Sailer, 88, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wheatland, Wyoming, with Pastor Lincoln Winter officiating. Inurnment follows in the Wheatland Cemetery.

She died Thursday, August 2, 2007, at the Platte County Memorial Nursing Home in Wheatland.

Emma was born June 6, 1919, in Barney, North Dakota, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Poss) Haus. She was reared and educated in Calico, North Dakota. On January 19, 1940, Emma married Eldor Andrew Sailer in Hazen, North Dakota. They farmed in North Dakota until moving to Wyoming in 1956. Emma enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower beds, gardening, crafts, and was a wonderful cook. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and past member of the Altar Guild. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include five children, Bonna Goddard, Duane Sailer, Linda Lay, Edie Wilson and husband Bruce, all of Wheatland, and Larry Sailer and wife Lorene of Katy, Texas; a sister, Ann McFarland of Langdon, North Dakota; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldor on December 31, 1991; a son, Roger Sailer; two brothers; three sisters; a granddaughter, Dalletta Lay; and three sons-in-law, Bill Goddard, Jim Lay and Warren Ryff.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all of her family and friends.

Memorials to the Trinity Lutheran Ladies Guild or Altar Guild, P.O. Box 216, Wheatland, Wyoming 82201 would be appreciated by the family.
