Helen Sailer

BEULAH-Helen Sailer, 73, Beulah, died may 3, 2007 at Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Tuesday, May 8, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with the Rev. Walt Wolff officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. MDT Monday at Peace lutheran Church, Hazen.

Helen was born June 3, 1933, at Zap, the daughter of Rudolf and Rebecca (Knecht) Sailer. She was raised and educated at a rural school near the farm. She attended Golden Valley High School and later graduated from Beulah High School. She then attended college and began her career as a secretary. Helen moved to Minneapolis for a number of years, and then spent a short time in Jamestown, ending up in Fargo. She lived in Fargo until becoming a resident at the State Hospital, Jamestown. Helen spent a short time in a Carrington Nursing Home before moving to Knife River Care Center, where she has since lived. Helen loved to play the piano, organ and accordion. Up until her last days, she would as to play the piano. she also liked to do crafts.

She is survived by three sisters, Hertha Burow, Mapleton, Iowa, Ruby Tesky, Hazen, and Ardella Herrmann, Beulah; four brothers and five sisters-in-law, Alfred and Pat, Andover Minn., Richard, Sioux City, Iowa, Elmer and Linda, Beulah, Eugene and Eldora, Zap, Florence Sailer, Lodi, California, and Tillie Sailer, Beulah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ervin and Reynold; and one sister, Irene Sailer. (Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah)
