Louis Sailer was born January 26, 1924, at Krem, ND, the son of Nathaniel and Emelia (Mass) Sailer. He was raised and attended rural school north of Stanton. On November 25, 1945, he married Frieda Weisz at Krem. They farmed northwest of Stanton for 46 years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, had served on the Church Board, and was a Director of Stanton Rural Fire Department for 16 years. Louis enjoyed farming, fishing and the Sentimental Journey Band’s music.

He is survived by his wife, Frieda of rural Stanton; his mother, Emelia (Sailer) Kittler of the Beulah Community Nursing Home; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Esther of Mandan; Kevin and Rosemary of Mandan; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Lee Miller of Mandan; 6 grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Nathan and Scott Sailer; Angela and Ross Miller; and 2 brothers, Clarence and Roland both of rural Stanton.  He was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Sailer and his step-father, John Kittler.
