Lorine Unterseher

HAZEN — Lorine Unterseher, 94, Hazen, went to her Heavenly home on Jan. 11, 2015. Services will be held at 2 p.m. CST Friday, Jan. 16, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with the Rev. Derek Harkins officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Barbot Funeral Home, Hazen.

Lorine was born Oct. 23, 1920, to John and Pauline (Baisch) Wegerle at Krem. On March 9, 1941, she married Roland Unterseher at the Wegerle home. They had two children, Harriett and Brian. She lived at home after Roland’s passing in 1983 until just after her 90th birthday, when she moved in with her son and daughter-in-law. She resided with them until her death.

Lorine was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, the ladies circle and the quilting group. She was also a member of the SMC Hospital Auxiliary. Lorine was a homemaker in every way. She was always the hostess and greeted all who came to see her with a smile, a hug and something to eat. She crocheted beautiful dish towels, hand towels, baby quilts and sold them at craft bazaars and to people that needed a special gift.

Lorine is survived by her children, Harriett (Ron) Pankowski, Port Angeles, Wash., and Brian (Ann) Unterseher, Hazen; her grandchildren, Trent, Troy, Jacob, Logan and Abby; her great-grandchildren, Jocelynn, Lexie, Jakob and Gemma; and her sister, Anna Schlosser.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her siblings, Albert, Art, Adam, Oscar “Chris”, Lea and Emma.
