REUBEN B. UNTERSEHER

Reuben B. Unterseher, age 59, died Friday, September 17, 1982, in Billings, Montana, Deaconess Hospital.

He enjoyed golfing, hunting, reading and was a life-member of the Lutheran Church.

He was born in Hazen, North Dakota, a son of Jacob and Mary Unterseher. He attended schools in Mercer County. On April 9, 1944, he married Selma Isaak in Hazen, North Dakota.

He farmed for two years; and then in 1946 he began operation of a gas station which he ran for 11 years along with working as a bulk agent for Mobil Oil Company of Stanton, North Dakota. In 1957 his work with Mobil Oil Co. took him to Rapid City, South Dakota, where he worked until 1960 when he began as a credit representative for J.J. Case Co. In 1962, he became a heavy equipment salesman for Massey Ferguson Co. taking him and his family to Williston and Bismarck, N.D., Casper, Wyoming and Billings, Montana. For the past three years he had been associated with the Santa Fe Equipment Co., as a salesman.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Joel, of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Rose Marie Unterseher of Anchorage, Alaska, and Melissa Richholt of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado; two brothers, Harold and Roland of Hazen, North Dakota; two sisters, Elma Baier and Ida Wegerle both of Hazen; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Monday, September 20, 1982, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. The body will be taken to Boelter Funeral Home of Bismarck. Funeral services were held September 23, 1982, at the Zion Lutheran Church, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismarck, North Dakota.
