MRS. EM. ZIEMANN
DIES IN BISMARCK

Mrs. Emanuel Ziemann Sr., 60, Hazen, died Sunday morning in a Bismarck hospital, where she had been a patient for the last 16 days. She had been in poor health for the last six years.

Mrs. Ziemann was born in Rumania on Sept. 19, 1887, to Mr. and Mrs. John Rahn. She came to the U.S. with her parents 55 years ago, settling in Mercer County.

In addition to her husband, she leaves nine children, eight grandchildren and three brothers.

The children are Mrs. Ben Gutknecht, Mrs. Albin Stiefel, and Erhart Ziemann, Bismarck; Mrs. Harold Heimark, Bremerton, Wash.; Herbert Ziemann, Mandan, Edwin, Glendive, Mont.; Eldor and William, Stanton; and Walter, Hazen.

The brothers are Ferdinand and John Rahn, both of Hazen, and Ernest of Beulah.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Ziemann farm north of Hazen and at 1:30 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 15 miles north of Hazen.

Rev. E. L. Theilen officiated. Burial was made in St. Paul’s cemetery.
