Fredrick Michael Allemang was born on April 14, 1871 at Shorewood, Illinois to Henry and Mary Allemang. Mary Spangler, daughter of John and Margaret Spangler was born at Shorwood on November 26, 1871. Fred and Mary were married in Sioux City, Iowa on August 17, 1898 and farmed in Woodbury County, Iowa, near Otho for four years.
They moved to Antelope County in the spring of 1902 with a small daughter, Mae, who was born September 3, 1899 at Otho, Iowa. A son, William Theodore was born July 4, 1902. Fred and Mary lived all but four years of their married life north of Clearwater. Mary died at home on April 7, 1958 and Fred died at the Tilden hospital August 24, 1961. Mae Allemang married Ed Wagner, Wisner, Nebraska, on January 26, 1921. They were the parents of four children: Verlyn, Viven, Verdon, and Vione. Ed died January 16, 1947 and Mae died November 30, 1977. William Allemang married Viola Dean, Brunswick, July 11, 1924 and they were the parents of seven: Merle, Hoel, Ted, Donny, Leon, Darlene, and Marilyn.
