Dr. Carl C. Barr, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles C. Barr, was the second generation of the family to practice medicine in Tilden, along with his brother, Dr. Robert Barr.
Born in Tilden, he was graduated from Tilden High School, then later received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Nebraska School of Medicine. He and his wife, Ina Marie, were the parents of twin children, William and Barbara. Mrs. Barr was an accomplished keyboard musician. Dr. Barr spent almost his entire medical career in Tilden and was forced to retire in 1975 because of heart problems.
During the blizzard of 1948-49, he and his brother would visit patients by going in a ski-equipped airplane.
