Lloyd W. Bearinger was born on August 6, 1901 in Knox County, Nebraska.  He was the son of William A. Bearinger and Clara Jane Niblow. 

The family moved to Antelope County near Orchard in 1904.  He grew to manhood and received his education in the rural schools.  His father died when Lloyd was 18 and for several years Floyd farmed and made a home for his mother and sister, Blanche. 

Ruth Bailey was born June 26, 1900 at Neligh, Nebraska, the daughter of A. G. Bailey and Laura Stevens.  She grew up in Neligh and graduated from Neligh High in 1918, taught rural schools and worked as a telephone operator.  Lloyd and Ruth were married on December 13, 1922 at Sioux City, Iowa.  They first lived near Royal, then to a farm near Orchard and lastly in 1946 to a farm north of Clearwater.  They were the parents of three children, all of whom graduated from Clearwater High.  Harold married Ruby Jean Mathers, five children:  Clarabel married James Scott, two children: and Donald married Lois Clemans, two children.  Lloyd died in 1978 and Ruth died in 1979.
