Frank R. Braband was born in Illinois on October 16, 1884 and moved with his parents to LeMars, Iowa in 1894. There he married Elizabeth Beck on February 21, 1911.
They moved to a farm in Antelope County shortly after their marriage. After a year, they move to Boone County where son, Arthur was born, June 1, 1912. They moved to a farm east of elgin in 1914 where daughter, Helen was born on January 15, 1915. From there they moved to farm north of Elgin where Angline was born on February 8, 1918. They purchased a farm west of Elgin in 1920. Harold, Earl, and Alice were born there. The couple retired to Elgin. Arthur married June Schmidt; Angline married John Derserath; Harried married Julianne Reicks; Earl married Gloria Loughrey; Alice married Wilbert Scholl; Helen never married. Frank died on June 6, 1952 and Elizabeth on July 24, 1964
