Marjorie Bradley was the daughter of Anna Merrion McGill and J. C. Jenkins and born in Neligh, Nebraska. She married Walter Bradley and lived her entire life in Neligh.

When Marjorie was small, she sold milk to the neighbors for five cents a quart. When she was 12, she played piano for the silent movies. She became friends with Clint and Bessie Robbins and for several summers Marjorie traveled with the company.

After her marriage to Walter, the couple operated a confectionary store in Neligh called “Candyland”. They rented an old bank building and served hot lunches and ice cream. Marjorie directed the Neligh town band and played in it as well. She was active in school affairs and wrote the school song. Marjorie died in 1978 at the age of 83 years and is buried in Laurel Hill.
