Rolla E. Curtright was born May 1, 1894 to Charles T. and Hattie Orterback Curtright near Orchard, Nebraska. As a young man Rolla farmed in the Neligh community.
On March 1, 1909 he married Theresa Hobson, who came to Neligh from Iowa. She was born January 20, 1890 to Mr. and Mrs. John Hobson at Bayard. Following their marriage the couple spent some time farming in the Willow community northeast of Neligh then moved to farms west of Neligh where they lived until retirement.
They were the parents of three children: Irene who married Charles Chalfant; Charles who married Neva Luben, Clearwater; and Dale who married Opal Swanson, Carroll, Nebraska.
Rolla died in February, 1955 and Theresa died in May, 1984.
