Joseph Kallhoff, son of William Kallhoff and Catherine Lanz, was born on September 27, 1896. The family moved to the Clearwater area where he went to school and grew to manhood. Regina Morisse was born January 6, 1901 to Bernard Morisse and Katherine Reisdorff at David City, Nebraska. In 1919 the family move to a farm north of Elgin.
Joseph
and Regina were married March 1, 1927 at Elgin. They are the parents of five children: Rita, Alyce, Harold, Allen and Walter
Dean. The family farmed near Clearwater
for 16 years. All the children were
born there. In 1948 they moved into
Elgin. Joseph died June 1, 1963.
