Theodore Kallhoff, son of Joseph Kallhoff and Johanna Schultz, was born in Bocum, Germany on November 28, 1870. He came to America as a young man and lived in the St John’s and Clearwater areas on a farm. Elizabeth Ruterbories, daughter of Herman Ruterbories and Elizabeth Spenner, was born in Bocum, Germany on September 6, 1876. She came to America at the age of 14.
Theodore and Elizabeth were
married on April 18, 1894. They had
11 children: Elizabeth, Theodore,
William, Margaret, Paul, Ferdinand, August, Regina, Albert, Rose and
Leo. They farmed in the St Johns and
Clearwater area until Theodore died on June 6, 1935. Elizabeth moved to Elgin and lived there
until her death on June 14, 1953.
