Vincent E. Kallhoff, son of Theodore Kallhoff and Theresa Reuss, was born on December 9, 1941 on the family farm northwest of Elgin. He graduated from St. Boniface School in Elgin. He has nine brothers and sisters. He farmed with his family until going to Omaha to work. In 1962 he enlisted in the Army and served three years in Germany. He returned to the States in 1965 and worked in Omaha. Sandra Rodges , daughter of Morse Rodgers and Mary Rose Spes, was born at Tilden, Nebraska on June 12, 1947. She has one sister and three brothers.
Vincent and Sandra
were married on February 19, 1966 in Neligh. They made their home in Bellevue, Nebraska and later moved to Elgin in
1967 and began farming. They worked
several farms and in 1975 purchased their own farm northwest of Elgin. They have five children: Pam married Ron Scholl; Stan; Cheryl; Carol
and Teresa.
