Harvey Clay Kinney (1893-1943) was born to Charles B
Kinney and Belle Edwards on the family farm west of Elgin,
Nebraska. He married Martha Johanna Johnson
(1897-1973) on November 14, 1918. She
was the daughter of Andrew J L Johnson and Teckla Wilhemenia Anderson and was
born southeast of Clearwater, Nebraska. They had two children: Opal
Fern Kinney and Elvon Edward Kinney. Fern married Maynard G Stearns and Elvon married Irene Squire.
