William John, son of Arch Linton and Margaret McWilliams, was born in Balleymena, Ireland on February 19, 1857. He came to America about 1875 and then to Nebraska in the 1880’s. Lizzie Hindman Paul, daughter of John Hindman Paul and Eliza Buick, was born January 12, 1867 near Joliet, Illinois. John and Eliza were from Ireland and were married in Joliet. William and Lizzie were married at Swedesburg, Nebraska on January 12, 1887. Lizzie died on September 14, 1911 and William on June 5, 1935. They were parents of 10 children. Margaret Ann Linton, born February 7, 1888, married Herbert J McKay, one child.; Florence Mildred Linton, born January 31, 1889, married William Wesley Perry, three children.; Earl DeWitt Linton, born April 6, 1890, married Heldar Bergman, one child.; Myrtle Leone Linton, born December 9, 1891, died 1981, never married.; Ethel Linton, born May 23, 1893, married Ray Kinney, two children.; Grace Elizabeth Linton, born February 17, 1895, married Bert Hays, three children.; Archie John Linton, born April 6, 1898, married Kathryn Van Lippeloy, one child.; Baby Linton, born 1899, died 1900.; Hazel Pauline Linton, born April 13, 1901, married Ivan Blunt, five children.; and Wilma Ruth Linton, born April 17, 1905, married Charles Frank Sprague, four children, married Vernon B Layman.
