Hans Michaelson was born in Schleszwig, Germany in 1868 and came to Antelope County in 1882. He was the son of Jurgen and Elizabeth Michaelson. He was accompanied by two brothers, Peter and John, and a sister. Hans married Amanda Elizabeth George who was born on April 26, 1876 in Northhampton County, Pennsylvania. She came with her parents, Joseph and Sarah George. She had four sisters, Ella, Cassandra, Sibilla and Mary; and five brothers, Henry, Martin, Milton, Frank and Fred. Amanda died on April 24, 1921. Their children were: Henry, John, Albert, Charles, Caroline and Elsie. Caroline married Harry Bliss, no children; John Joseph married Frances Gail Baker, three children: Henry Peter married Margaret Lena Dodge. Albert married Edith Bliss. Elsie Elizabeth married Alvin Ziomke. Hans remarried on April 18, 1923 to Jessie Lawson. They had four children; Electra, Marion, LaVan and Harold. Jessie died in 1973. Hans died on June 17, 1946.
