Bernard Morisse, son of Anton Morisse and Gertrude
Berkenkollis, was born November 24, 1872 in Germany. The family came to America in 1882 and
homesteaded west of Raeville, Nebraska. Katherine Reesdorff was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 15,
1872. She came with her parents from Bellwood,
Nebraska. Bernard and Katherine were
married at David City, Nebraska on February 6, 1900. They moved to a farm north of Elgin in
1919. They were the parents of seven
children, all born at David City. Regina
M; Peter; Anton; Katherine; Henry;
George and Elizabeth. Bernard passed
away on December 21, 1926 and Katherine on April 30, 1956.
