Alvin John Moser, son of John B Moser and Clara Henkenius,
was born June 24, 1915 at Elgin, Nebraska. He attended St Boniface School. As a youth, he worked with his parents on the farm and also as a farm
laborer. Irene Catherine Pelster,
daughter of John P Pelster and Veronica Buddecke, was born April 1, 1916 at
Dalton, Nebraska. She attended rural
school and St. Patrick’s Academy at Sidney, Nebraska. She moved with her parents to Elgin in
1927 and graduated from Elgin High School in 1934. Alvin and Irene were married on April 17, 1941 in Elgin. They bought the family farm north of Elgin
in 1948 and lived there until 1964 when they moved into Elgin. Alvin and Irene were the parents of five
children. Joseph John Moser was born
February 22, 1942 and joined the Army on March 3, 1964 with service in
Vietnam. Marilyn Clara Moser was born
July 3, 1946. Gerald Alvin Moser was
born November 14, 1947 and joined the Army in January 1968 serving two years
in Germany. Rita Veronica Moser was born
October 7, 1952.
