Charles August Oelsligle was born in 1830 in Germany and lived in Chicago, Illinois in 1866.  He was married to Augusta ?.  They were parents of five children:  William, 1852: Anne, 1858; Elizabeth, 1866; Matilda, and Kate.  After Anne married Lamont Seargent and Elizabeth married Harry Kelly of Baltimore, Maryland, August and William came to Plattsmouth, Nebraska.  Anne later married Chris Petersen and the families came to Tilden where August homesteaded south of town.  K. H. Oelsligle, who is thought to be a brother of August, is buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Tilden and indicates he served in the 108th Regiment Illinois Volunteers during the Civil War.  William never married.  Elizabeth and Harry Kelly were parents to Cora, born 1887; Charles, born 1897; William in 1901 and Harold in 1904.  Elizabeth died in November 1907.  Cora cared for the family and married Walter Chap Hightower in March 1911.  Daughter Opal was born in December 1911.  The family moved to California.  Opal married Leo Kallhoff in 1936.  They had two children, Myrna and Norman.  Myrna married William Watson, three children; Norman married Polly Kral, three children.  Opal married Dale Cromwell in 1946, one daughter.  Harry Kelly died in May 1927, Cora died in March 1967 and Walter Chap Hightower in September 1950.  Charles Kelly grew up on farms, served in WWI and was a barber for 36 years.  He married Audrey Ladd of Gordon, Nebraska.  They had two sons.  Charles died in 1961.  William (Bill) Kelly married Loveda Bossard.  They had one child.  Bill died in January 1964.  Harold Kelly married Margaret Carson and they had four children.
