ALBERT JAY STONEBRAKER was born in Belmont county near Centerville, Ohio, in 1858.  He was the son of Samuel Stonebraker and Catherine Barrett.  Samuel was the son of Frederick Stonebraker and was born in 1830.  He died in 1892.  Catherine was born in 1832 and died in 1881.  Albert homesteaded near Royal, Nebraska.  He returned to Ohio after two years and married Mary Ester Davis, daughter of Joseph V Davis, who was born in 1824 and Elizabeth Landis, 1824.  They had six children:  Ertel never married, taught school for many years, died in Sioux City, Iowa on March 15, 1972;  Carl, married Coral Alexander, she died, married again, lived in California, died March 21, 1949;  Miles N, married Alice Klock, two boys, Jay and Donald and one girl, Evelyn.  Miles born 1892, died February 27, 1927.; Lura, 1890, never married, taught school in Sioux City, died July 28, 1963; Mira Iona, March 21, 1887, married Dr. W G Fletcher of Orchard, June 28, 1905.  Mira died April 29, 1971 and he, November 1961, four children, Mary Isabel Fletcher, 1906, married Donald Reid; William Gordon Fletcher Jr, 1908, married Vera Marie Coates, married Fern Bolts, no children, he died May 13, 1961; Catherine Iona Fletcher, 1915, died 1925; Robert Bruce Fletcher, born 1923, married Zatha Smith, three children, Christine Sue, Gregory Scott, and Connie Jo.

Ester Eva Stonebraker was born in 1897, married Cornelius Tommeraasen, he died in 1966, two sons, Miles, 1923, married Marilyn Fladmark, and Owen, married Jean Buxengard;  Albert J Stonebraker had three sisters and two brothers.  They were Sarah Isabell (1856-1863), Allace Jane (1860-1863), George B (1863-1917), Clement (1866-1932), and Agnes (1869-1869).
