Miriam Swanson, daughter of William Nyrop and Ellen Wylie,
was born June 14, 1914 in Elgin, Nebraska. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1931. She attended York College Conservatory of
Music and the University of Nebraska. She was a resident of Newport Beach, California for 25 years. Miriam was a dedicated supporter of public
education and spent her life dedicated to Christian beliefs and her
family. She passed away on April 3,
1987. She is survived by her
daughter, Kristen Miriam Swanson and family and her sisters, Mildred,
Marjorie and brother, Donald W Nyrop. Her grandparents were Mr and Mrs John Wylie and Mr and Mrs Christopher
Nyrop, two pioneer families who migrated to Antelope County.
