Freidrick Taute came to America from Ahlsdorf, Germany in
1925. He grew to manhood in Germany
where he learned the butchering trade, worked in the mines and was a
farmer. On April 21,1929 he married
Margaret Plessner in the home her parents, Mr and Mrs Paul Miller
Plessner. They farmed in the Elgin
community for 50 years. They retired
to their home in Elgin in 1979. Fred
passed away on January 17, 1987.
