JOHN F. THIELE, son of Carl and Angela Ernesti Thiele, German immigrants, was born in Wheeler county, Nebraska on August 28, 1889. As a young boy he moved with his parents, brother William an sisters, Anna and Mary to a farm south of Clearwater, Nebraska, where received his education in a rural school. He married Josephine Keber on February 9, 1915 in Clearwater. Her parents were Jacob Keber and Mary Riebschlager of Clearwater. Josephine was born March 19, 1890 near Primrose, Nebraska. John and Josephine lived on their farm south of Clearwater for three years and then moved to a farm in Greeley County. They lived there for 40 years before moving into town in 1958. Their children were: Mary married Edward Moser, ten children, Joe married Lucille Berberich, two children, Josephine married Claude Schrage, six children, Theresa married Don McBride, five children, John married Elizabeth Schindler, nine children, Andrew married Helen Graboski, eleven children. Lucille married Harold Kester, eleven children. Margaret married Raymond Klabenes, eleven children. Paul never married. Louis married Jeanette Moser, seven children. Loretta married Bill Lincoln, nine children. John F Thiele died on August 13, 1961 and Josephine died on August 24, 1974. 1971.
