JOHANN KARL HEINRIC TIMM was born April 2, 1868 at
Sanitz, Germany and came to America when he was 16 years old. In 1894 he bought a farm north of Oakdale,
Nebraska. He married CAROLINE EISSLER
September 4, 1895. Caroline was born
at Long Grove, Illinois, February 13, 1876. Their first home was not much more than a cave. They had six children: Bertha, Carl, Lee, John, William and
Gladys. John and Caroline helped to
form the Old Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh. John died in September of 1929. Caroline remained on the farm for the next 17 years and then
moved into Neligh. She passed away
November 18, 1964 at Neligh.
