DONALD
ARMSTRONG TINGLE was born in Winner, South Dakota, January 16, 1929, son of
Archibald Tingle and Hazelle Armstrong. He moved to Neligh in 1941 where his parents published the Neligh
News. He graduated from Neligh High
in 1948. He attended the University
of Nebraska. Hse married Shirley L
Filsinger. He was drafted in the US
Army, March 10, 1952 and served in Missouri and Maryland. He was discharged in 1954.
