Gerhard Jerry Tunink, son of William Tunink and Katharine
Overmohle, was born January 8, 1924. He attended St Boniface School. He enlisted in the U S Navy in 1944 and received his discharge in May
1946. He married Amelita Heithoff on
August 18, 1947. Amelita was the
daughter of Albert Heithoff and Eleanor Kroeger. She was born on August 14, 1927 and had two brothers and four
sisters. She graduated from St
Boniface School and St Boniface High school in 1945. They had three children: Robert Joseph,
Carol Ann and Mary Jean. They have
owned and operated Tunink Construction for the past 40 years.
