Lambert, son of Henry and Emma Vanderheiden, was born in
Elgin, Nebraska on October 4, 1920. He attended St Boniface grade school and graduated from Elgin High
School in 1938. He learned the
milling trade from his father. Florentine Pelster, daughter of Joe and Anna Pelster, was born near
Raeville, Nebraska on January 24, 1923. She attended St John Berchman’s
School in Raeville and graduated from Elgin High School in 1940. She married Lambert on June 6, 1944. They are the parents of four
children: Ann, Joe, Florentine, and
Marie. Ann married David A Munson who
is in the Navy. Joe served in the Navy
aviation.
