Richard Marion Williams moved from the sand hills of Elgin
to Neligh in about 1918. The family
moved there to get a good education for the children. The children were: Marvin, Florence, Jeanette, Zetta and
Opal. Richard and his wife were hired
to manage the County Poor Farm during the 1930’s. Richard died there in 1934. His wife stayed for a while and then moved back to Neligh where she
died in 1944. Marvin died in
1960. Florence married Howard
Zotsmann; Jeanette married a Feaveira; Zetta married an Ott; and Opal married
Ray Bowers.
