Verlene Gae Furstenau, son of Verlon and Nadene Peterson
Furstenau, was born on November 2, 1953 at Tilden, Nebraska. She attended rural school and graduated
from Neligh High in 1971. She
attended the University of Nebraska Technical College of Agriculture and
graduated as a Veterinary Technical. She married Lynn Warren Yates on November 10, 1973. Lynn was born to Norman Yates and Elaine
Nicely on November 24, 1952. He
graduated from Geneva Public Schools in 1971 and from The University of
Nebraska Technical College in 1973. They
took up farming south of Geneva. They
are the parents of three children.
