Calvin and Laura Yorke came to Antelope County in December
1916 and settled on a farm northeast of Clearwater, Nebraska. They were the parents of eight
children: Verna Yorke, Amy Yorke, Allan Yorke, Roy Yorke, Edith
Yorke, Rena Yorke, Frances Yorke and Mabel Yorke. Calvin and Laura left their home in Clearwater in 1957 and
moved to Seattle, Washington.
