SCHOOL NOTES.

The storm reduced the attendance Monday to about 25 per cent of normal. Temperature 24 degrees and about 35 mile wind velocity.  The coldest temperature during the past three school years.

Flora Porter is absent this week for treatment of her eyes.

Edwin Porter and Edward Hering were snow bound Monday and Tuesday.

Mr. Gillis will begin a regular course of musical instruction in the public school about the 25th inst.

The janitor was unable to warm the building Monday morning until about 10:30 on account of the high wind.  Storm windows on the north would make it possible to heat the house under any conditions.

Mary Fraim has been absent this week.

The dry air in the various rooms is responsible for the coughing epidemic.  The air at times has only 20 per cent of the moisture it could contain with a different heating system.

Reports of work done in the grades will be sent out next week. Parents, see that you sign the same.

The school year will be half completed January 20.
