A life long resident of Antelope County enlisted in the United States Army, August 28, 1944, and served in the Signal Corps at Camp Crowder, Missouri and was discharged June 30, 1946 from Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was the youngest of four brothers, all serving in the armed forces of World War II. He married Audrey Peterson and they have two sons, both U S Army volunteers. They lived their entire married life on their farm east of Neligh.
