Harold D. Aubert entered the service November 6, 1942 at Omaha, Nebraska.  He received his boot training at Great Lakes, Illinois and six months further training at NTS, Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois.  He served  in Virginia, Florida, California, Pearl Harbor and Barbers Point.  He was assigned to test overhauled airplane engines.  He was discharged February 5, 1946.  He was married to Harriet Johnson of Brunswick on February 18, 1946.  They had two children, Janet and Lynn.
