Gene K. Dredge, son of Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Dredge, was born on October 19, 1926 at Breslau, Nebraska and was inducted into the Army on January 29, 1945.  He served with the 83 Military Government HQ & HQ Company.  He served in the Pacific and was discharged on November 20, 1946.  After his service, he married Phila Mae VanErt and they were the parents of four children.  He worked for Contois Motor Company for several years, later moving to Valentine, Nebraska.  He passed away on December 3, 1978.
