Warren S. Emerson joined the service in January 1942 and took pilot training in California.  He served in the European Theater as a fighter pilot.  He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart and Air Medal and was discharged in 1945.  He married Una Ramsey in New Jersey.  He finished dental school in Texas and they lived in Palestine, Texas.
