Funeral services for B. H. (Bill) ALMSTRUM of Oakdale were held Tuesday, January 2 at 2 p.m. at the Oakdale Methodist Church. The Rev. Guy M SAVAGE of Tilden and the Rev. Connie J BUEHLER of Elgin officiated at the service and burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ivan KINNAN, Ralph OFE, Raymond WARNER, William Owen EVANS, Darryl BRETZ and Ben BRANDT. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Howard HAILE, Fred LINNAUS, Everett TAYLOR, Ray SALA, Ted CROSIER, Leo ADAMS, Orville MILLER, Orris BRINK, Roy MUSSER, Ralph KINNAN and Leonard OBERSHAW. B H ALMSTRUM was born at Skane, Sweden April 28, 1891 to Mr and Mrs J P ALMSTRUM and died at his home December 28, 1968 at the age of 76 years, and 8 months. He came to Nebraska from Sweden in 1911 and was married February 28, 1917 to the former Judith NILSEN. He farmed in the Oakdale area from 1911 to 1953 and was custodian at the Oakdale Public School form 1953 to 1961. He is survived by his wife, daughters, Mrs Warner (Alma) RUF of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, and Mrs Richard (Lylia) ANDREWS of Charleston, Illinois, son, Bill II of Sierra Vista, Arizona, five granddaughters, one grandson, sister, Mrs Martin PETERSEN and brother, CONRAD, Edwin and Ray. A brother, Uno and sisters, Grarda and Svea still reside in Sweden. A daughter, Lilliam, preceded him in death.
